Disney World Height Requirements 2026 — All 4 Parks, Every Ride
SaveLast updated: March 1, 2026
Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida is the most visited theme park resort in the world — and it is also one of the most family-friendly. Across its four parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom), Disney World has dozens of rides with no height requirement at all, making it an excellent destination for families with young children. That said, many of the most popular attractions do have minimum height requirements, and knowing them in advance can save you from disappointment at the ride entrance.
How Disney World Measures Height
At Disney World, cast members measure guests at the ride entrance using a fixed measuring stick. Guests may keep their shoes on but must remove hats. If a child is close to the minimum height, the cast member may offer a colored wristband indicating the child has been measured and meets the requirement. This wristband is valid all day, so the child will not need to be re-measured at other rides with the same or lower requirement. Pro tip: have your child measured at the first height-required ride of the day to get the wristband early.
Magic Kingdom Height Requirements
Magic Kingdom is Disney World's flagship park and its most family-friendly. Of its 18 active attractions, 11 have no height requirement. The rides that do require a minimum height range from 35 inches (The Barnstormer) up to 48 inches (TRON Lightcycle / Run). Magic Kingdom is an excellent park for children of any age — even toddlers will find plenty to enjoy.
