At 36 Inches (3 feet)

At 36 inches, your child can enjoy about 28% of rides (303 out of 1095). This includes most dark rides, gentle flat rides, and a few family coasters. The good news: many of the most magical experiences at Disney parks have low or no height requirements.

At 40 Inches (3'4")

The 40-inch mark opens up 35% of rides (380 out of 1095). This is a significant jump that includes many family coasters like Slinky Dog Dash, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. It's a great milestone age for theme park visits.

At 44 Inches (3'8")

At 44 inches, your child hits the 61% mark — 665 out of 1095 rides become accessible. Many moderate thrill rides open up, including popular attractions like Expedition Everest, Space Mountain, and various spinning rides.

At 48 Inches (4 feet) — The Magic Number

48 inches is the single most important height threshold. At this height, 89% of all rides (976 out of 1095) become available. This is the requirement for most major coasters and thrill rides across all parks. If your child is close to 48 inches, it's worth waiting for this milestone before planning a big theme park trip.

At 52 Inches (4'4")

At 52 inches, 93% of rides (1017 out of 1095) are accessible. The remaining 7% includes extreme coasters and certain drop rides at Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks that require 54 inches or taller.

Use Tall to Ride's height checker to see exactly which rides your child can enjoy at any specific park. Enter their height on the home page or on any park page to get personalized results.
